Motion plastics at igus®

Motion plastics: it’s our mantra

At igus®, we have the same mentality and approach when dealing with a multitude of applications.

This mentality is simple, if it moves, igus® improves.

Motion plastics

Our essence is motion plastics, so if your machine has moving parts igus® can promise a number of things. The product we offer will be: self-lubricating, maintenance-free, cost-effective, predictable, resistant to dirt, dust, chemicals and heat (to name a few) and finally, will improve the lifetime of your machine whilst reducing the overall cost.

This is the same throughout our whole product range, from our iglidur® plain bearings to our e-chain® and chainflex® products.

Our team of engineers in the UK are located across the length and breadth of the country to ensure that a technical visit is achievable in as little time as possible. We understand that machine designs have to move fast, so we try to move with the customer just as quickly.

What should you expect if one of our engineers visits you?

  • A full demonstration of the igus® product range
  • A focused demonstration relating to your industry or application
  • Technical assistance on your application(s)
  • Useful samples to assist easy selection of igus® products
  • Application-specific samples for physical trials
  • Design input and guidance

Not only do we have a team of highly skilled engineers, but we also have industry specialists covering sectors such as Agriculture, Automotive, Food and Packaging, Ports and Cranes, and Theatre.

Product Managers further complement the team by enhancing the focus on specific products such as our chainflex® cable range, our xiros® ball bearing range, our drylin® linear bearing range and our collection of Low Cost Automation products such as robolink® and drylin® delta robot. The whole team strives to impress our customers with the correct product at the correct price.
