Where possible, we are opting for people to work from home, supporting everyone as much as we can without risking our service to our customers.
So, what can igus® do to help at this time?
We can give you all the help and support you need with your applications, your parts and can help you solve issues with solutions, all from the comfort of your desk, wherever that may be.
We have product specialists and engineers all over the country but given the current situation, we are understandably being asked by customers to postpone visits. This however has not deterred us in regard to offering a support system for our customers and we have been offering and delivering virtual visits to customers to every area of the UK.
The igus® engineers are helping reduce risks by not travelling and working from home, linking with customers over Microsoft teams to offer support however required. Using this platform, we are able to identify issues with video calls, suggest products to solve the problem and steering customers around igus® website. Here, you can order products online and have them delivered to your desired delivery address. All of this can be done whilst in your pj’s!
The igus® UK website is showing stock that is physically available in the Northampton factory and as it stands, our deliveries from our manufacturing plant in Cologne have not been affected, so we are still receiving and making deliveries daily. This means you can have your required parts delivered within 24 hours, if they are showing as in stock online.
We have numerous on-line configurators, which can help identify products that any customer needs, give a price and a predicted lifetime. On the e-chain® and chainflex® products, we go one step further and can offer a 36-month guarantee. A certificate gets emailed to you instantly, so very simple.
Other measures that can help when working from home.
- There is a CAD library that allows you to download CAD files so you can incorporate them into any design work, no requirement to register.
- You can create a part, upload it onto the website, see instant pricing, and get it 3D printed in an igus® material. This part will be a fully functioning and mechanically sound part that you can use within your application. We have a multitude of materials to choose from so can offer materials for various applications.
- There is a live chat function that is available during working hours. This means someone will be available to help you without even needing to pick up the phone.
- You can now pay for your goods via the Paypal system making the whole process that little bit easier.
