Learning, growing and being independent are all aspects of life experiences that we want to for the younger generation. The best way for this to be combined into one is through an apprenticeship scheme. At igus® we are extremely proud of the apprentices we have in our company.
Before joining igus I worked at Applied Sweepers on the production line making road sweepers. After this I joined Alexander Dennis again working on the production line building coaches.
I started my career way back in 1992 at a well-known Tapered roller bearing manufacturer as a Manufacturing Engineering Apprentice.
At igus® the green initiatives are one of the key areas that are being focused on in 2021. There are some large changes going on behind the scenes but there is something we can all do, help clean up the planet. Litter is a massive issue, so igus® employees up and down the country have been helping with cleaning up the UK in the igus® big spring clean.
Sometimes it isn’t about the “big” order. Sometimes it is about doing something nice. Helping the National Coastwatch Institute recently was so rewarding. Knowing that igus® bearings were helping them protect our shores was priceless.
