Issue 04/2020

We will remember 2020 for a very long time. Forever.

The world-famous Hannover Show has just been cancelled completely. One of the fixed stars in the world of technical designers and engineers. I am one of the biggest fans of the annual Hannover exhibition.

Why do we need cleanroom products for hygienic environments?

igus® products can protect your cables in a clean room environment, despite the harsh chemical wash downs. We manufacture products that are easy to assemble without compromising their performance and that keeps contamination out of the equation. Our hygienic range of energy chains are FDA approved so also suitable for the food industry.

The ins and outs of chainflex®

chainflex® are cables that are specifically designed for dynamic motion. So, whether these are continuous flex applications, or working within e-chain® systems – drag chain or power track, whatever you wish to call them – it is all about that continuous motion. igus® does not supply cables for static applications at all; you are more than welcome to use our cables for that, however, what we produce is for motion. Our key phrase is: long-lasting life in continuous flex applications.

Sustainable manufacturing with igus®: greener plastics

igus® continues to re-evaluate its materials to ensure the best possible compounds are being used to best serve our industries and best protect our planet. Find out more about sustainable igus® now.
